Amin Abdulhaq: Entrepreneurial Journey
From sourcing phones as a student in California to a connected portfolio of businesses in Cairo.
Amin's interest in entrepreneurship began long before he established his formal businesses.
Sourcing, repairing and selling phones internationally
Amin's entrepreneurial journey started while he was studying in California. He sourced mobile phones, repaired or refurbished them and sold them internationally. It was one of his earliest business experiences and introduced him to sourcing, product margins, refurbishment, international trade and resale.
During that period he also wanted to enter the trucking industry in Los Angeles. He explored the opportunity but did not have enough capital to establish the operation at the time. Trucking and logistics later became a core part of his portfolio through Kingdom of Aminco.
Coca-Cola: sales, business development and project management
After returning to Egypt, Amin joined Coca-Cola while continuing to pursue business opportunities. He started in sales in 2013, became Business Development Manager from April 2015 and later worked as Development Project Manager.

In business development he worked on three operational ideas: cashless collections through Fawry, night-time truck loading for early-morning deliveries, and a distribution model built on hotspots and third-party transport. Each started with a practical inefficiency and ended with a better way of working.
Coca-Cola career and case studiesBuilding Aminco Car Services
After returning to Egypt, Amin worked at Coca-Cola while developing his first major business. He sold his personal car to raise the capital required to establish Aminco Car Services.
The business started with approximately EGP 300,000 and reached a growth figure of approximately EGP 15 million within about 18 months.
He did not keep it isolated. Profits were reinvested into other opportunities, including logistics, trucking, construction, mobile car washing and automotive service vans. That decision shaped everything that followed.
An interconnected business ecosystem
He did not want to establish isolated businesses. He wanted complementary operations that could support one another. Amin's approach moved beyond starting individual companies. He invested in complementary activities that could support one another operationally: trucking and logistics, construction, mobile car wash services, automotive service vans, and automotive care and service-centre operations.
The concept is a connected service-centre and logistics ecosystem. Logistics capability can support other businesses, service vans can deliver mobile automotive services, automotive care can sit alongside other service offerings, and shared resources and customer relationships create efficiencies and further opportunities.
A business ecosystem concept: complementary operations that can share resources, customer relationships and opportunities. It is not a description of a single legal corporate structure.

The operating businesses are Aminco Car Services, founded in 2017, and Kingdom of Aminco, founded in 2019.

Amin and his brother established a business relationship with one of the largest Yemeni honey distributors to develop a premium Yemeni honey brand. The focus is on sourcing some of Yemen's rarest and highest-quality Sidr honey and building a premium brand for the Egyptian market, starting in Cairo. Expanding distribution internationally is a longer-term ambition.

Beyond the businesses
Alongside the operating businesses, Amin holds investment interests, including a shareholding in STCO Group since January 2010, and competes internationally in tennis, a sport he took up in 2021 and now plays for Yemen in the Davis Cup. His family heritage, including his late grandfather Shaher Abdulhak, is part of the wider story.
